1863 (Jan.) front from an unknown office to Christchurch and redirected to Timaru, bearing 1862 2d. with three large margins and indistinct cancellation, various transit datestamps, "2" handstamp (deleted), manuscript "4", boxed "advertised and/unclaimed." and "too late/dunedin", 1864 envelope from Invercargill addressed locally, bearing 2d. cancelled by duplex and showing boxed "advertised/unclaimed" handstamp in red and large manuscript "2" for sending back to sender after 3 months, and 1865 front and part back from Nelson to "Pelorus Gold Fields" and redirected back to Nelson, bearing 1862 2d. cancelled "15" and with "2" handstamp deleted, "4" handstamp, Havelock c.d.s. and oval-framed "advertised/unclaimed" handstamp in red.
