1869 (28 July) entire letter from Grand Bassam to France, bearing French Colonies 1859-65 10c. ochre and 20c. pale blue (3, one cut-into at top), all cancelled by blue "asi" in diamond of dots, showing sender's oval cachet at upper left, "cote d'or et gabon/assinie" c.d.s. also in blue and "col. fr./angl. amb. calais" c.d.s. (26.10) with arrival d.s. on reverse. A rare and most attractive franking. Photo
