1877 (May 30) envelope to Boston U.S.A., bearing 1876- 1d. blue (2, one bisected vertically) and 6d. orange cancelled "554" in oval of bars, showing red crayon "1d" and "6½", "accra" c.d.s. (30.5), "paid/ liverpool/ br. packet" c.d.s. (26.6), and Boston arrival c.d.s. in red (9.7). Most attractive and very rare, only about four examples are known in the pre-U.P.U. period of which this is possibly the earliest. B.P.A. Certificate (1985). Photo
