1864 (Dec.) envelope addressed to "Bathurst, South Africa, Cape of Good Hope", bearing 1862-64 4d. bright red pair, both cancelled "401", showing London (Liverpool Bag Mark" d.s. (18.11), "paid/liverpool/br. packet/3a" c.d.s. (10.1) and handstruck "1" accountancy mark, all in red, and very rare "missent to/gambia" h.s. with, on reverse, another strike of the Missent h.s., London, Sierra Leone (11.12), Port Elizabeth (8.3), Grahams Town (9.3) and part Bathurst datestamps; the envelope with part flap missing and a little soiled.
