Selection contained in a carton, hundreds including 1806-37 "Free" entires (25), 1840 Mulready 1d. letter sheets unused and two used, 1841 and 1844 "Returned paid Letter", 1841-53 1d. reds with many entires, including Charles Gilpin "Ocean Penny Postage" illustrated envelope, 1841 1d. pink postal stationery envelopes (40+) one with number "9" in Maltese Cross cancellation, 1841 envelope with embossed "Pre-paid/1840" on front and whigs/awa" on reverse, etc., also a small foreign selection including 1936 envelope from Er Ramle to Berkshire with "damaged by immersion/in sea water i.s." cachet on reverse ("Scipio" crash), etc., mixed condition.
