1801 (14 Feb.) local London printed coloured Valentine, designed by John Fairburn, with central vignette depicting a lady standing by an anchor with a sailing ship in the background, hand punched simulated lace surround and applique flowers; folded as an entire letter and with dated markings of 14 Feb.; some splits along the folds strengthened by hinges, fine and exceptionally early printed Valentine.
