1884-94 artist's watercolour drawing in the issued design with blank value tablet, executed in rose-carmine on thick card (69x77mm.) with value tablets for ½d., 1d., 2½d., 4d., 6d. and 1/- drawn below, dated "3 may 82", marked "This sketch drawn by hand and but roughly represents the effect that would be obtained in a finished stamp", marked "Approved, EEB, 25/7/82".
