1873 (17 Sept.) entire letter "pr German Line" to Paris bearing 1863-80 4d. grey and 6d. light green tied by "trinidad/paid" c.d.s., "6", "1" and "3" rate marks in red crayon, "PD" in oval and Ship Letter London (6.10) c.d.s.; horizontal crease and splitting along folds

The 10d. rate is the double ship letter rate; 1d. for local post to port, 6d, double ship letter rate and 3d. for sea route to France. The crayon rate marks were applied in London
