A group of proofs and essays with 1902 hand-painted essay in red and Chinese white on tracing paper affixed to card, dated and marked "duplicate", 1932 oval design with hand-drawn essays of ¼d. and ½d. in pencil on tracing paper plus 3d. and 6d. values marked "Approved for position and wording", coloured die proofs of ¼d., ½d., 2d., 3d. and 6d., each impressed on stout paper with most values marked "OK", dated and initialled; also 1949 impressions of seven values 5c. to $5000 on card (231x100mm), highlighted with pencil and crossed with manuscript "specimen" in red ink.
