1891 (30 May) 2d. registered envelope to St. George's bearing Revenue 3d. with 1888-91 vertical 1d. on 2/- orange (3) well tied by Grenville "D" datestamps, the revenue subsequently cancelled by 1891 (1 June) c.d.s. (and cut through with a sharp knife) with a further strike alongside (over the original c.d.s.), the arrival c.d.s. on the reverse. A few light tone spots barely detract from this interesting cover. Note: the 1d. on 2/- stamps each just show a second strike of "POSTAGE" in the top margin
