Two pieces from the archive with the stamps overprinted "specimen" with 1902-06 ½d. to 10/-, 1906-11 ½d. to 10/- and 1913-33 ½d. to 10/- (one additional 3d. without Specimen overprint). The note in the printer's archive are, "Progressive record of the issues from 1902-29 with dates printed and details of destruction of material. Duty dies and plates of the 4d 5d 9d 2/- and 3/- starred in red were destroyed as obsolete on 30th Jan 1922. D.F. means that the stamps were printed in doubly-fugitive ink." A manuscript at the top reads, "27/12/34 Dies & plates for the ten duties ½d. to 5/- to be destroyed, CA letter". An Important grouping with two unique Specimen handstamps. Photo
