1764 (30 Aug.) long entire letter from John Taylor (acting for William Ormandy) on Grand Bay, Carriacou to John Tartetone in Liverpool "p the Molly/Capt Winstanley". The letter includes details of his having acquired a third estate in Grenada and gives the accounts for the Estate on Carriacou which concludes, "our complement of slaves is 66". Without any postal markings. Vertical folding crease and some paper splitting on some of the internal folds. A very early British settler's letter and the earliest recorded from Carriacou. Photo
