Imperforate Colour Trials
1d. (10) in a variety of colour combinations affixed to two pieces of 1900 (14 Nov.) "Appendix" sheet, submitted at the request of the Crown Agents so that they could suggest the advisability of printing the 5/- and £1 values in doubly fugitive inks; the trials numbered "1" to "10", numbers 1 and 2 in suggested colours for the 5/- and £1 values with that marked for "5/-" in black and red changed to "£1" and initialled "WHM" and that numbered "4" in purple and blue with "5/-" written alongside and similarly initialled, number 3 in grey and black marked "Too easily photographed", numbers 7 to 9 on yellow paper and 10 on red paper; the first crossed by a light crease.
