1858 (23 Oct.) envelope to Scotland, marked "Via Marseilles", bearing 6d. purple-brown (portion of adjoining stamp at right, cut-into at top) and 1857 1d. blue pair and single with margins in places, all neatly cancelled by oval of bars, showing red London Paid transit c.d.s. (28.11) and, on reverse, circular "badulla/post-paid" with manuscript date inserted and Port Glasgow arrival d.s. (29.11). A neat franking. Photo
