1847 (15 May) 1d. pink postal stationery envelope to London, with "723" barred oval of Southampton and "Four Posts/Penny Post" alongside, bright blue Southampton c.d.s. on reverse; fine. Also, a Post Office "Penny Post" form with red Southampton c.d.s. of 23 March 1847 on the front and numerous strikes of the "Four Post/Penny Post" handstamp struck on the reverse, together with a Post Office Mileages handbook for Four Posts dated 19 June 1834 (first eight pages missing), with rates inserted by hand.
