£1 scarlet and reddish mauve, an upper left corner pair, [1-2], [2] Long gash in Queen's ear, some hinge remnants in margin the two stamps sharing a single hinge mark; horizontal crease in the left-hand margin just extending in to one stamp, otherwise fresh and fine. A monumental rarity with only one other error Gash in Queen's ear item known, and great showpiece of Rhodesian philately
