1938 100r. purple and blue perf. 14.1 line, from the mysterious and recently discovered Williams Lea Wartime printing , fine used with 20/12/43 manuscript cancellation. Barefoot 12var. Photo.

Note: The circumstances surrounding the perforation of the 100r. remain a mystery. Whilst the bombing of De La Rue's premesis explains the obsolete premises being used for the 50r. value, there are no recorded despatches of the 100r. within the period of known use of the line perforator. A summary of research to date is included with this lot.
