1895 (9 May) "Hayman" envelope registered from Mombasa to London, bearing 1895 (Feb.) "½ anna" in manuscript on 3a. black on dull red (2) initialled "T.E.C.R.", in combination with 1890 ½a. blue-green horizontal pairs (2), all neatly cancelled by c.d.s., showing red Registered London d.s. (2.6) and, on reverse, two further London datestamps. Scarce and attractive. Photo
