OD-OE horizontal pair and OF with London "18" in barred oval cancellations, on reverse "post office/british army" code B c.d.s. and a variety of transit and arrival markings; fine and uncreased. The contents, a four sided letter from Karikoi (a small village in the hills above Balaclava), discusses a soldier giving water to a wounded Russian, a fellow officer selling his commission, etc., fine and a delightful cover.
