Lady's envelope with blue decorative floral design, to Chester, bearing 1841-53 1d. red-brown, Plate 22, TH, good to large margins and showing a portion of the adjoining stamp at left, tied by a crisp black Maltese Cross cancellation, Bridgend and Chester datestamps on reverse; clean and very light vertical crease clear of the adhesive. Believed to be the finest of all the non-illustrated, decorated covers bearing a 1d. red with Maltese Cross cancellation. Photo
