1890 (4 Dec.) two page letter headed "Sandringham Norfolk", from Francis Knolly to Pearson Hill, Knolly thanks Hill for sending the Prince of Wales a copy the "Life of Sir Rowland Hill and the History of Penny Postage" and includes "I am directed by his Royal Highness to add that it affords him great pleasure to accept a book which records the services of one who did so much to promote the prosperity of his country and the happiness and convenience of its inhabitants"; A fine letter which must have greatly pleased Pearson Hill.
