1848 (11 Oct.) printed Inspector of Poor entire letter from Glasgow to Ayrshire, franked 1d. with a poor part strike of the "159" numeral augmented by a fine strike of the straight line "glasgow" (Auckland GW 134 "This is probably an unissued error"); the adhesive touched at foot and creased but this is believed to be the only recorded example of the straight line "glasgow" handstamp.
