1848 (Mar.) entire to Corfu, Ionian Islands, endorsed "Via Trieste" marked "pd 1/3" which has been corrected, indistinct London despatch c.d.s., large "P D" in oval and Boulogne S. Mer transit (18.3), the reverse bears a very good strike of the rare "house of commons" circular postmark in red across flap. An exceptional and rare postmark which is thought to only have been used on letters posted within the House of Commons which were addressed to overseas destinations.
