1815 (28 Sept.) a highly important letter from the Duke of Wellington, written just three months after the Battle of Waterloo (18 June), from Paris, concerning in some detail, the "Waterloo Fund" (A national charity appeal for relief to the wounded and surviving relatives of those who fell during the Battle, which inspired the very rare "waterloo/subscription" handstamp); a little soiled and with some splits along the folds.
