1929 (15 May) envelope to Mr. Woods in Newcastle on Tyne, bearing Great Britain 1d. red tied by a superb strike of the cachet in red and showing, on reverse, a fine strike of Type Va in violet; the envelope slightly truncated at left, fine. A stunning combination and extremely rare. This is the 'sister' cover to the one which graced the front cover of both the "Edinburgh" (1987) and Jack Cole (1998) auction catalogues. S.G. C5, C7.
