1898 (26 Nov.) 2d. registered envelope to Portsmouth, uprated with 1887-92 2½d., cancelled by hooded circular "registered/nov 26/98/ascension" cancellations and showing London transit d.s. (15.12); fine. A great rarity, believed to be one of only two covers, and a single off cover, known with this cancellation. Photo
