1/3d (2) and 1/6d. Bradbury Wilkinson composite essays, the 1/3d. in violet and in carmine, the 1/6d. in olive-green, each with a printed head let in on handpainted background and frame, etc. with small portions touched-up in Chinese white, each executed on small piece of thick card and arranged vertically on a piece of thick card (90x175mm.) lettered "A", "B" and "C" with printer's label at foot and marked at top "As submitted to High Commissioners Office London 12/11/40 for forwarding to Wellington. This particular set was sent to Mr. Jamieson but as the other one arrived in Wellington, he returned it to us". A magnificent showpiece. Photo
