Five progressive die proofs on wove paper (88-103x49-71mm.) from an early state with no engraving to the sea or sky to near complete design dated "13/8/31", three in slate, one in orange-brown and one in red-orange dated "12-7-31", two further die proofs in black and in slate on watermarked paper (68-75x56mm.), both showing guide mark at top centre and die number, and imperforate plate proof blocks of four in two shades of black
