½d. mint study including 1938 perf 13½x14 Ash imprint corner block of four, McCracken imprint corner blocks of four (3, one with late state of cracked plate on first line of imprint and one with late state of cracked plate below imprint), perf 15x14 complete right pane with straight-edge at right, By Authority corner imprint block of four; and 1949 no watermark complete sheet, right-hand panes (2), By Authority corner blocks of four (5), corner blocks of twenty and twelve (2), coil strips of ten and eight with join (the latter showing the bottom pair joined upside down) and a used marginal pair all showing coloured flaw from right ear to "O" (R. L6/8) and a marginal block of six (2x3) and coil strip of seven with join showing same flaw retouched, a lower left corner block of eight showing "Dilly bag" flaw under paw (R. L7/1) and a lower left corner By Authority imprint block of nine showing perforation error due to paper fold. A fine lot. BW cat. $1,500+
