Edward III (1327-77), Pennies (3), York, third coinage, XVIb4 (3), 1.30g, 1.21g, 1.07g, mm. cross pattée, edwr angl dns hyb, reversed Ns, no stops, rev. civi tas ebo raci, quatrefoil with pellet at centre; an imitation, 0.72g, large crude bust with widely spaced legends, rev. i?i [ ], ‘York’ style with quatrefoil and pellet at centre, the legend mostly missing, (N.1130; S.1556; Stewartby p. 197, the first pl.10/223 this coin), the third porous, good fine to very fine except the last, fair and presumably very rare (4)
