Edward III (1327-77), Noble, 7.70g, fourth coinage, Treaty period B2, mm. -/cross pattée, ed/ward dei gra rex angl dns hyb z aq/t, saltire and double saltire stops, king standing, facing with sword and shield in ship, rev. + ih’c avtem tranciens per mediv illorvm ibat, double saltire stops, ornate cross, e at centre in panel, trefoil of annulets at corners, lion in each angle and crowns in alternate arcs of double tressure, trefoils in spandrels (N.1232; S.1503; Schneider 86; Stewartby B2; Potter 2b), some scratches in first quarter of reverse (to remove surface deposit), otherwise good very fine
