Edward the Confessor (1042-66), Penny, 1.23g, Transitional Pyramids type, Droitwich, Hethewulf, bust facing, bearded and crowned, holding a sceptre in the right hand and an orb in the left, rev. +HEĐEPI ON PIEPIC, short cross voided; in each angle, a pyramid from the inner circle and terminating in a pellet (N835; S1185), the obverse weak, otherwise very fine, the reverse a bit better, an extremely rare mint and type
