Cnut (1016-35), Penny, 1.10g, Short Cross type, Winchester, LeodmÆr, bust left, diademed; in front lance, rev. +LEODMÆR ON PINC•, short cross voided, in centre, a circle enclosing a pellet (N792; S1159), crack at 7 o’clock to chin, deposits on the reverse, this double struck, almost very fine, very rare with the lance in place of a sceptre.
