Uruguay: River Plate Pressure Meat-Preserving Co. Ltd., a group of 68 certificates for £10 share, 1872, £3 paid, all but three examples overprinted 'fully paid up share, scrollwork at left, black, large impressive embossed seal. Formed in direct competition with the well established Leibig company with its own dock on the River Plate but only lased two years before being broken up and the pieces acquired by Liebig. Generally very fine and better. (68)
