North of England Industrial Iron & Coal Co. Ltd., a group of 17 certificates for one share of £10, first issue, [1870], scrollwork at left, black on pink paper, adhesive revenue stamp, printed in Wakefield, Yorkshire. The company established the Carlton Iron Works at Ferryhill, County Durham. Name change to Carlton Iron Company in 1878 and then acquired by Dorman Long in 1920. Very fine to extremely fine although the last piece has some discolouration and a tear through the seal. (17)
