North of Scotland Banking Company, certificate of shares, Aberdeen 18[72], no.14/411, signed by the manager, black printing on blue paper. The bank was founded in 1836 and through amalgamation is now part of Clydesdale Bank. Scottish certificates have the appearance of being a cross between a true share certificate and a transfer certificate but this was the only document a shareholder received and they are extremely rare. Some spotting but very fine.
