London & District Bank Ltd., registered as Discount bank Ltd. in 1895, name changed 1897, voluntary liquidation in 1901; London & General Bank Ltd. was at the centre of Jabez Balfour's group of companies along with the Liberator Building Society, stopped payment in 1892; London Banking Corporation was formed in 1890, reconstructed in 1896 and suspended payment in 1911; London & Westminster later joined with London & County bank and Parrs Bank to become Westminster Bank, now NatWest.
