This company was founded in 1820 and managed by Bowring Brothers as the Red Cross Line with all of her ships being given names from Shakespeare plays. After heavy losses during the First Wrld War, the company was sold and her ships transferred to the Bermuda & West Indies Steamship Co. in 1929.
