Die von der Firma Brown, Boveri & Cie. (BBC) gebaute Aarau-Schöftland-Bahn nahm 1901 den Betrieb auf. 1958 fusionierten sie mit der WTB zur Wynental- und Suhrental-Bahn. Heute tritt sie unter der Bezeichnung AAR bus+bahn auf.
