Actien-Gesellschaft des Fährhauses auf der Uhlenhorst, registered founders share of 500 Mark Banco, later changed to 750 Reichsmark, Hamburg, 1865/1870, no.17, black, decorative vignette, second sheet attached, only 325 shares were issued! Uhlenhoster Fährhaus was an elegant restaurant, located at the edge of the Alster in Hamburg, Germany. The company was founded it in 1865, but the Fährhaus existed for a long time already before. It had a large outdoor patio and several ballrooms, so it gained worldwide fame. Unfortunately it was completely destroyed during an air raid in 1943. Centre fold with tear (aprox. 2 cm), several stamps about dividend payments and endorsements on reverse and on second sheet, cancelled by perforation, very fine.
