Cunliffe, Russell and Co., certificate for 'combination F' consisting of 17 original premium bonds for £120, circa 1888, no.3907, large format with ornate border, company building in title, black and red, also together with other company paperwork, heavy folds and some edge damage, fine.

The company specialised in invenstment portfolios and in particular various lottery loans issued by various countries and bodies. Many of the bonds they used are well known such as the Panama Canal, Ottoman Loan, Congo Free State, Italian Red Cross, Town of Antwerp and Serbian Government 1888. Needless to say the investment portfolios were not successful but we are sure there is much more of a story to find.
