1886 (4 May) commercial envelope to Bordeaux "Via Brindisi" bearing, on the reverse, 3ca. mauve (original defect at foot), paying the internal rate, tied by Peking seal in blue with the despatch c.d.s. alongside, also with Customs Tientsin (5.5) and Shanghai (10.5) and Bordeaux arrival (26.6); the address side with France 25c. (defect) applied by the sender and tied by "shang-hai/chine" c.d.s. with "modane a paris" transit c.d.s. (25.6) in red. The envelope with central vertical fold and is a little soiled in places.
