3ca. orange-red in a horizontal strip of four [21-8-26-1] cancelled by Newchwang c.d.s. (26 Sept.) without yeardate; a few irregular perforations. An important and rare setting piece being the largest recorded multiple of this setting

There is only one other strip of four recorded from this setting, coincidentally also the same clichés, which was offered in the Philip Ireland and Beckeman collections. It has not been established whether this is the top or lower row of this setting.



This very scarce setting only seems to be found cancelled by Newchwang c.d.s. without yeardate and used between April and October, one pair also bears part of an arrival datestamp for 1885
