Southern Ming Dynasty (1644-1661), lot of 12 cash coins, when the Chongzhen Emperor committed suicide in April 1644, various members of the Ming royal family established short lived regimes in southern parts of China. The most widely recognised era names from the regimes are: Hongguang (1644-1945), Longwu (1645), Prince of Lu - never proclaimed himself to be emperor but 'Protector of Ming' (1645-1646) and Yongli (1646-1661), this lot contains coinages issued by all four 'kingdoms'.
Hongguang Tong Bao (2), Longwu Tong Bao (2), Da Ming Tong Bao, issued by Prince of Lu (2) and Yongli Tong Bao (x4 small cash and x2 large sized 1 fen, 37mm and 45mm respectively)
