QE worn impression, small to large margins all round, tied by red Maltese Cross cancellation to envelope, dated 7 Aug. 1840, from Ipswich to Sleaford, re-directed to Drumlanrig Castle, with the Penny Black further pen cancelled and manuscript "1" applied for re-direction, red Sleaford arrival (10.8) on the front; closed flap tear on reverse extends slightly to top of front; fine and scarce.
