France, Louis XV (1715-74), Écu, 1725H, La Rochelle, young bust right, rev. four cowns and eight Ls cruciform (Gad.320; KM 472.9), very good, very rare, the wear is from many years of honest circulation and this example is not from the group salvaged from the wreck of the Chameau and so it is without the corrosion that is usually seen on these La Rochelle coins
