Anglo-Gallic, Aquitaine, Edward III (1327-77), Gros à la fleur de lis, 1.43g, cross pattée, lis in second quarter, +ed rex anglie, rev. +dvx aqitanie (Elias -; WF 65-1/a; S.8056), very fine but chipped and off centre, extremely rare
This extremely rare type was not known to Elias. It is the prototype for the Bergerac gros a la fleur de lis (Elias 131; WF 303). This is only the third specimen to appear at auction.
