Julius Caesar, AR Denarius, Gaul and Spain, 49 BC, elephant right, trampling on serpent, caesar, rev. priestly implements - simpulum (ladle), aspergillum (sprinkler), axe surmounted by boar's head, and apex (priest's hat) (RRC 443/1; Sydenham 1006: Sear, Imperators, 9), almost very fine, and another similar, fine, together with an AR Denarius of Q. Rustius (76 BC), helmeted head of young Mars right, rev. sheep standing right (RRC 389/1; Sydenham 782), good fine (3)
