a) The Royal Victorian Order, Commander's (C.V.O.) neck Badge, silver-gilt and enamel, reverse officially numbered 'C40', with neck riband
b) Jubilee 1887, silver, with 1897 Bar, unnamed as issued
c) Coronation 1902, silver, unnamed as issued, light contact marks, good very fine, mounted as worn, the Jubilee riband frayed, housed in a Spink & Son leather case, together with the following related items:
- Honorary Chaplain to the King's Badge, E.VII.R., gilt and enamel
- Bestowal Document for the Coronation Medal
- Letter of appointment as M.V.O., together with letter of confirmation, addressed to the recipient, dated 5.10.1901
- Letter of confirmation as C.V.O. addressed to the recipient, dated 4.11.1902 (3)

Reverend Canon Frederick Alfred John Hervey, C.V.O., born Westminster, May 1846, the eldest son of Lord Alfred Hervey; educated at Marlborough and Trinity College, Cambridge; Curate of Putney, 1869-76; Rector of Upton Pyne, Devon, 1876-78; Rector of Sandringham, Norfolk and Domestic Chaplain to the Prince of Wales from 1878; Honorary Chaplain to the Queen, November 1882-86; Chaplain-in-Ordinary from 1886; Honorary Canon, Norwich, 1892-97; Canon from 1897; Domestic Chaplain to King Edward VII from 1901; died at Norwich, August 1910 and is buried in St. Mary Magdalene Church, Sandringham, Norfolk.
