Russia, Imperial, 146th Tsaritsyn Infantry Regiment Jetton, by Alexandr I. Brylov, 37mm, silver-gilt, silver (84 zolotniki) and enamel, a white enamel cross bearing the date '1769' on the lower arm, with a double-headed eagle mounted upon the cross, with maker's mark and 1908-1917 kokoshnik mark to reverse and backplate, enamel damage to the green banner above the eagle, good very fine, scarce
The 146th Tsaritsyn Infantry Regiment was originated from the Dneprovsk Regiment, this founded in 1769. Upon the breast of the double-headed eagle are the arms of the Dneprovsk, this being a golden cross upon red field, a central white river and a silver moon upon black ground. Mounted over the arms is the monogram of Peter I.
